Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 has brought another powerful Agent into the game, and this time, players have a new Wind Stun character to work with. Roxy is an S Rank Wind Agent from the Flint Workshop who specializes in stunning enemies, applying Windswept, and helping her teammates take advantage of Contamination.
Unlike some Stun Agents who simply enter the field, use their EX Special, and leave, Roxy has a more involved playstyle. Her kit revolves around Energy management, Wind Energy, Windswept, Contamination, and her Cleanse mechanic. When everything is lined up correctly, she can provide strong team utility while also dealing respectable personal damage.
Roxy was released on September 30, 2026, during the second phase of Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 alongside her signature W Engine, Crimson Moon Casket.
So, if you managed to pull Roxy and want to get the most out of her, here is how you should build her.
Roxy Overview
Roxy is an S Rank Wind Stun Agent. Her primary role is to build Daze while supporting the team’s damage through her unique Windswept and Contamination mechanics.
Her Core Passive, Warm Night’s Embrace, gives her Wind Energy whenever she consumes Energy. Her Energy Regen is also extremely important because it increases both her ATK and Impact through her Core Passive.
Roxy’s kit also allows her to apply Windswept to enemies. This is particularly important because Contamination can significantly increase the damage of compatible Agents.
Her EX Special is the centerpiece of her kit. Roxy enters a Whirlwind state and continuously consumes Energy while dealing Wind DMG and building Anomaly. Afterward, she can deploy Eyes of the Storm and trigger additional Windstorm effects.
The interesting part is her Cleanse mechanic. When Roxy hits an enemy affected by Windswept, she can reset the enemy’s existing Contamination without removing Windswept. This allows another Contamination effect to be triggered and makes her particularly valuable in teams built around this mechanic.
Best W Engine for Roxy
Crimson Moon Casket
Roxy’s signature W Engine, Crimson Moon Casket, is her best overall option.
The biggest reason is its Energy Regen main stat. Energy Regen is incredibly valuable for Roxy because her Core Passive converts Energy Regen into additional ATK and Impact. The W Engine also provides CRIT Rate, which helps Roxy reach the CRIT Rate requirement needed to maximize her team buffs.
Crimson Moon Casket also provides additional benefits to the rest of the team rather than simply increasing Roxy’s personal damage. This makes it particularly strong for her support and Stun role.
If you are planning to use Roxy frequently in endgame content and have the resources for her signature W Engine, Crimson Moon Casket is the clear choice.
F2P Option: Steam Oven
Players who do not want to spend Polychromes on Roxy’s W Engine have a surprisingly good alternative in Steam Oven.
Steam Oven provides Energy Regen while also functioning as a Stun oriented W Engine. This works extremely well with Roxy because she wants both Energy Regen and Impact.
According to Mobalytics’ current testing, Steam Oven is Roxy’s recommended F2P option and remains competitive for her Daze output.
Other Option: Hellfire Gears
Hellfire Gears is another option, especially at higher Phase levels.
Roxy’s rotation makes it relatively easy to maintain its effect because she generally uses her EX Special in a way that allows her to maintain the necessary stacks. However, it can require some adjustment to her rotation, and at lower Phase levels, Steam Oven is generally the more practical choice.
Best Drive Discs for Roxy
4 Piece King of the Summit
For most of Roxy’s teams, 4 Piece King of the Summit is her recommended Drive Disc set.
Roxy can maintain the set’s effects fairly easily because of her low EX Energy requirements and the way her EX Special functions.
The set is particularly useful when Roxy is supporting traditional CRIT based damage dealers.
However, there is an important exception.
When Roxy is being used alongside Armorer Agents, the CRIT DMG portion of King of the Summit does not provide the same value. In those teams, 4 Piece Astral Voice becomes a stronger option despite Roxy not having conventional Quick Assist mechanics.
2 Piece Moonlight Lullaby
For the remaining two Drive Disc slots, 2 Piece Moonlight Lullaby is an excellent choice because it provides Energy Regen.
This directly contributes toward Roxy’s Core Passive and helps her reach the Energy Regen thresholds needed to increase her ATK and Impact.
2 Piece Swing Jazz is another option if you do not have a good Moonlight Lullaby set.
Roxy Drive Disc Main Stats
For Roxy’s main stats, you should prioritize the following:
Partition 4: CRIT Rate
Partition 5: Wind DMG Bonus, PEN Ratio, or ATK%
Partition 6: Energy Regen
CRIT Rate is particularly important because Roxy’s team buffs scale with her CRIT Rate. She wants to reach 100% CRIT Rate in combat to fully maximize this portion of her kit.
For Partition 5, Wind DMG Bonus and PEN Ratio are generally strong choices, while ATK% can also work depending on your team and the buffs available.
For Partition 6, Energy Regen is the preferred option. Roxy gains additional Impact from the Energy Regen portion of her Core Passive, making Energy Regen considerably more valuable to her than simply stacking Impact.
Roxy Substats
When farming Drive Discs for Roxy, prioritize:
CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG / ATK% > PEN / ATK
CRIT Rate is the most important stat because of how directly it interacts with her team buffs.
After reaching the necessary CRIT Rate, focus on CRIT DMG, ATK%, PEN, and other useful offensive stats.
Energy Regen is already being heavily targeted through her W Engine, Partition 6, and two piece Drive Disc effects, so you generally want your remaining stats to improve her damage rather than endlessly stacking Energy Regen through substats.
Roxy Energy Regen and CRIT Rate Goals
Roxy is one of those characters where her build requirements are tied directly to her mechanics.
Her Core Passive increases her ATK and Impact based on initial Energy Regen above 1.2. The scaling can reach up to 960 additional ATK and 76.8 additional Impact.
Her team buffs also scale from her CRIT Rate, with the scaling reaching its maximum at 100% CRIT Rate in combat.
Because of this, a properly built Roxy wants both high Energy Regen and high CRIT Rate rather than simply stacking Impact like a traditional Stun Agent.
Best Roxy Teams
Roxy is surprisingly flexible because she can function in CRIT, Attack, Rupture, and Armorer teams. However, she gets substantially more interesting when paired with characters who can take advantage of her Contamination mechanics.
Claret + Roxy + Rina
This is one of Roxy’s strongest Armorer teams.
Claret serves as the primary damage dealer while Roxy handles Stun, Wind application, and Contamination support. Alexandrina provides additional team support.
Roxy is particularly valuable for Claret because she can provide Laceration related support and use Cleanse to help Claret repeatedly take advantage of her mechanics.
This is one of the most natural pairings for Roxy and a major reason to consider building her if you are already investing heavily into Claret.
Sigrid + Roxy + Rina
Roxy also works extremely well with Sigrid de L’Azur.
Sigrid can benefit from Roxy’s ability to provide access to Contamination related bonuses while still maintaining her own attack focused playstyle.
Alexandrina completes the team by providing additional support.
This composition gives Roxy a strong role without forcing her to compete for excessive field time with Sigrid.
Sigrid + Roxy + Sunna
For another Sigrid focused option, Sunna can take the third slot.
This team allows Roxy and Sigrid to take advantage of their Wind and Contamination interactions while Sunna provides additional support.
It is another option worth considering if you already have these Agents built.
Pyrois + Roxy + Nicole
Roxy can also work with Pyrois and Nicole Demara.
Pyrois is considered one of Roxy’s strongest pairings because their field time requirements can complement each other. Roxy can step onto the field when necessary to build Daze and apply her buffs without completely disrupting Pyrois’ rotation.
Nicole then provides additional support and utility.
This is a particularly interesting option for players who want to take advantage of Roxy without building an Armorer focused team.
Pyrois + Roxy + Astra Yao
Astra Yao can also fill the support slot alongside Pyrois and Roxy.
This gives Roxy another powerful team environment where she can focus on applying Windswept, building Daze, and maintaining her utility while Pyrois handles the majority of the team’s damage.
The exact performance of the team can vary depending on endgame modifiers and enemy lineups, but Roxy is generally flexible enough to work in a wide variety of damage focused teams.
Teams You Should Avoid
There is one important limitation to keep in mind when building teams around Roxy.
Her Contamination bonus can only correspond to one attribute at a time. This means that teams built around multiple damage dealers of different elements can waste part of Roxy’s potential.
For example, if two different DPS characters rely on different elemental Contamination effects, only one of them can benefit from the relevant Contamination bonus at a given time.
Because of this, Roxy generally performs better when the team’s primary damage dealer and elemental setup are clearly defined.
Roxy Skill Priority
For Roxy’s skill upgrades, prioritize:
1. Core Passive
2. EX Special Attack
3. Ultimate / Assist
4. Basic Attack
5. Dodge
Her Core Passive should come first because it affects her personal damage, Daze, Energy Regen scaling, and team buffs.
Her EX Special comes next because it provides the majority of her on demand Daze, Anomaly Build Up, and important Wind mechanics.
Ultimate and Assist follow afterward because both contribute meaningful Daze. Her Basic Attack and Dodge abilities can be left for later because they are not major parts of her optimal gameplay loop.
How to Play Roxy
Roxy may look simple at first, but properly using her requires some awareness of timing.
The first thing you want to do is apply Windswept to your target. Once Windswept is active, your damage dealer can take advantage of the resulting Contamination mechanics.
Roxy’s EX Special then puts her into her Whirlwind state. During this state, she consumes Energy while dealing Wind DMG and building Anomaly. Her second EX sequence allows her to deploy Eyes of the Storm. When enough Eyes are present, Roxy can trigger a larger Windstorm and activate her Cleanse mechanic.
The important part is knowing when to use Cleanse.
You do not want another elemental Anomaly to overwrite the Contamination state you actually want your DPS to use. Properly timing Cleanse allows Roxy to reset Contamination and create another opportunity for the correct elemental damage dealer to benefit.
Roxy also has considerable field time tied to her Daze output. Her EX Special requires her to remain active while she channels, so simply holding EX and immediately swapping away is not always the best approach.
This is one of the biggest differences between Roxy and more traditional Stunners. Her Energy is not necessarily the problem. Time is.
Roxy Mindscape Recommendations
Roxy’s first Mindscape is particularly useful.
M1, Versatile Attendant, gives her 15% All Attribute RES reduction after her EX2 hits an enemy and provides a significant CRIT DMG increase for Roxy.
This makes M1 a meaningful upgrade, especially for players who want to maximize her personal contribution while improving the team’s overall damage potential.
However, Roxy is still highly functional at M0, so her signature W Engine and additional Mindscapes should generally be considered luxury investments rather than requirements.

Final Thoughts
Roxy is an interesting addition to Zenless Zone Zero because she is not simply another Stun Agent whose entire purpose is to fill the enemy’s Daze bar.
Her biggest strength comes from how she interacts with Windswept and Contamination. She can help compatible damage dealers gain more value from their elemental mechanics while simultaneously providing Stun, Anomaly Build Up, CRIT related buffs, and respectable personal damage.
Her biggest weakness is her field time. Roxy needs to spend meaningful time on the battlefield to get the most out of her Daze tools, and that can make her rotations more demanding than they initially appear.
Still, if you have characters such as Claret, Sigrid, or Pyrois, Roxy becomes a very attractive addition to your roster. Her ability to fit into several different team archetypes also gives her considerably more long term value than a Stunner designed for only one specific composition.
For players who already have a strong DPS and are looking for a Stunner who can bring something different to the team, Roxy is definitely worth considering.
