Kuro Games has officially revealed what is coming next to Wuthering Waves, and Version 3.7 is shaping up to be a major update for both the story and the game’s growing roster of Resonators. During the September 19 Version 3.7 Preview Special Broadcast, Kuro Games showcased two new five star characters, the continuation of the Mengzhou storyline, a new explorable area, additional Echoes, new events, and several quality of life improvements that should make the game more convenient to play.

Titled “Prism’s Illusion, Heart’s Illumination,” Version 3.7 is scheduled to launch on September 30, 2026. The update will continue the current Xuanfang storyline while introducing one of the game’s most unusual characters yet, as Hsin becomes the first playable Sentinel.

Version 3.7 Continues the Mengzhou Story

The main story will continue with Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart, taking players deeper into the storyline surrounding Xuanfang and its Sentinel.

A major portion of the new chapter takes place inside the Sanctum of Hsin, the Moon Fox Sentinel. The area is described as reflecting both Hsin’s role in creating many of Mengzhou’s mechanical devices and her personal state. Players will explore different realms within the Sanctum, with each area containing its own puzzles and challenges.

The story will also introduce Intendant Suoming, a member of the Ministry of Sentinel Affairs. Her arrival in the region is closely connected to the unfolding events surrounding Xuanfang, while the livestream also teased the possibility of major changes for Xuanfang Hold as the current storyline approaches its conclusion.

Alongside the main quest, Version 3.7 will introduce a new Tales Quest titled “Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing.” Kuro Games is also introducing Tales Quests as a new type of story content, featuring fully staged scenes and voice acting throughout the experience.

Hsin Becomes the First Playable Sentinel

One of the biggest announcements from the livestream was Hsin, a five star Electro Resonator who uses a Rectifier.

Hsin is particularly important because she is the first playable Sentinel in Wuthering Waves. Known as the Moon Fox, she has multiple forms that allow her to shift between her humanoid appearance, her Sentinel form, and a smaller fox form associated with one of her abilities.

Her introduction also gives players a closer look at one of the Sentinels that has previously existed primarily within the game’s lore. Rather than simply appearing as an important NPC or story figure, Hsin will now be directly playable and will have her own Featured Resonator Convene when Version 3.7 launches.

Hsin’s signature five star Rectifier is Blooming Jadehaven, which will receive its own featured weapon banner alongside her release.

Suoming Brings Another New Electro Playstyle

Hsin isn’t the only new five star Resonator arriving in Version 3.7. The update will also introduce Suoming, a five star Electro Sword user whose story is closely connected to the events unfolding in Mengzhou.

Suoming’s character design and combat abilities are tied to an umbrella that conceals a sword, while her story involves the nine companions she has lost. Those companions are represented in connection with the equipment she carries, giving Suoming a distinctive visual and narrative identity.

Suoming’s signature five star weapon is Unspoken Rue, which will be available through the corresponding featured Weapon Convene during the second phase of the update.

With both new characters being Electro Resonators, Version 3.7 is also adding another layer to the game’s increasingly diverse roster of Electro-focused teams.

Version 3.7 Banner Schedule

The first phase of Version 3.7 will introduce Hsin while also bringing back two existing five star Resonators.

Hsin, Iuno, and Chisa will headline the first phase. Hsin will be accompanied by her signature weapon, Blooming Jadehaven, while Iuno and Chisa will receive their respective rerun opportunities.

The second phase will then introduce Suoming, alongside reruns for Lynae and Lucilla. Suoming’s signature weapon, Unspoken Rue, will be featured in the corresponding Weapon Convene.

This gives players four returning five star characters to consider alongside the two new additions, making Version 3.7 another update where Astrite management will be particularly important for players interested in multiple characters.

A New Area to Explore

Version 3.7 will expand the game’s world with the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, a new explorable location connected to Hsin and the current storyline.

The area is separate from the existing Xuanfang Hold map and is connected to the Moon Fox Sentinel. Its design ties directly into Hsin’s role and the story surrounding the Sanctum, giving players another location to explore as the Xuanfang arc moves toward its conclusion.

The update will also introduce additional exploration and Tales content, giving players more reasons to spend time in the new region after completing the primary story.

Five New Echoes Are Coming

Echo collectors also have plenty to look forward to in Version 3.7.

The update adds five new Echoes: Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet, and Jade Nether Serpent. Players will also be able to obtain a new Phantom version of Skywatch Lancer.

Three new Sonata Effects are also being added: Heart of Sworn Vigil, Flash of Electric Reflection, and Flower of Tinged Yearning.

These additions continue Kuro Games’ ongoing expansion of Wuthering Waves’ Echo system, giving players additional options for building their Resonators and experimenting with different team compositions.

Main Quest Replay Is Finally Arriving

One of the most welcome quality of life additions from the livestream is Main Quest Replay.

Version 3.7 will allow players to revisit selected earlier story content through the Journey Log. The initial selection includes the main quest from Version 1.1, Thaw of Eons, the Moon-Chasing Festival event from Version 1.2, In the Turquoise Moonglow, and main quests from Version 1.3, To the Shore’s End.

Progress made during Replay Mode can be saved, allowing players to leave and return later instead of having to complete the entire replay in one sitting. Kuro Games has also indicated that additional chapters will be added to the replay system in future updates.

For longtime players who want to revisit earlier parts of Wuthering Waves’ story, this could become one of the most useful additions in the update.

Echo Management Is Getting Easier

Kuro Games is also making improvements to how players manage their Echo collections.

Version 3.7 will introduce an Echo Recommendation feature, allowing players to receive suggestions for Echo setups. Echoes will also become stackable in storage, which should make inventory management considerably easier for players who have accumulated large collections over the game’s many updates.

Additional improvements include expanded camera options and a selfie mode, giving players more ways to capture screenshots and character photos throughout Solaris-3.

The update will also add selectable resource download quality, giving players more control over how much game data they download.

New Events and the Waking Moon Festival

Version 3.7 will introduce several new activities alongside the main story.

Players can participate in Cubie Wars, Gifts of Waking Moon, Echo Erase, Dreams in the Capsule, Past Dreams, Traced Seals, Artisan’s Search, and Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang. The update will also introduce Blooms for the Shadow as a permanent event focused on exploration.

The Gifts of Singing Drizzle login event will also arrive later in the update. Beginning October 22, players will be able to receive 10 Radiant Tides alongside additional rewards through the event.

With the combination of permanent and limited time activities, Version 3.7 looks designed to give players plenty to do beyond the new Archon-style story content.

Community Reaction

The Version 3.7 livestream has given the Wuthering Waves community quite a bit to discuss, particularly because of Hsin’s status as the game’s first playable Sentinel.

Hsin’s introduction is significant beyond simply adding another five star character. Sentinels have occupied an important position within Wuthering Waves’ lore, and turning one of them into a playable Resonator gives players a new perspective on the game’s powerful beings.

Suoming provides another new five star option, while the return of Iuno, Chisa, Lynae, and Lucilla gives players several rerun choices across the two phases. The five new Echoes and three new Sonata Effects should also give veteran players additional ways to experiment with their builds.

However, some of the most meaningful changes are not characters at all. Main Quest Replay and the Echo management improvements could have a lasting impact on how players interact with Wuthering Waves, especially as the game continues to accumulate years of story and content.

With Version 3.7 arriving on September 30, 2026, Wuthering Waves is entering another important chapter. The Xuanfang story is approaching its conclusion, a Sentinel is becoming playable, and Kuro Games is continuing to refine the systems that keep players returning to Solaris-3.
