HoYoverse has officially unveiled everything coming in Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, titled “The Long Goodbye.” The latest Special Program served as both a preview of the game’s next major update and a celebration of Zenless Zone Zero’s second anniversary. Players were treated to new story content, two brand-new S-Rank Agents, generous anniversary rewards, a brand-new game mode, and the long-awaited Xbox release.

Version 3.1 launches on July 29, 2026, continuing the main story while introducing new gameplay systems and one of the largest reward campaigns the game has offered since launch.

New Playable Agents

Remielle Dan

One of the biggest reveals during the livestream was Remielle Dan, an S-Rank Lumiflux Anomaly Agent.

Remielle is the first playable Lumiflux Attribute Agent, introducing an entirely new elemental playstyle. According to HoYoverse, her kit adapts depending on the composition of your squad, allowing her to fill multiple offensive roles and making her one of the most flexible Anomaly characters released to date.

Sigrid

Joining Remielle is Sigrid, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent.

Unlike Remielle’s adaptive playstyle, Sigrid focuses on aggressive on-field damage with fast-paced Ice attacks and powerful burst windows. Although HoYoverse kept many of her finer mechanics under wraps, she appears poised to become one of Version 3.1’s premier damage dealers.

Banner Schedule

During the livestream, HoYoverse confirmed the Version 3.1 banner lineup.

Phase One

  • Remielle Dan (S-Rank Lumiflux Anomaly)
    • Her banner will last the entire 3.1 patch

Phase Two

  • Sigrid (S-Rank Ice Attack)

Each character will also receive their signature S-Rank W-Engine banner during their respective phase.

Second Anniversary Celebration

Version 3.1 doubles as Zenless Zone Zero’s official second anniversary update, and HoYoverse is celebrating with one of the most generous reward campaigns in the game’s history.

Players can look forward to:

  • A free selectable S-Rank Agent from a limited pool
  • The selected Agent’s signature S-Rank W-Engine
  • 1,600 Polychromes through login events
  • Up to 20 Signal Searches
  • Additional anniversary login rewards and event materials

These rewards are intended to thank players for two years of support while giving both new and returning Proxies a substantial boost to their accounts.

Xbox Release

Another major announcement was the official launch of Zenless Zone Zero on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Launching alongside Version 3.1, the Xbox release includes full cross-progression and cross-play support, allowing players to seamlessly continue their progress across supported platforms. This marks one of the game’s biggest platform expansions since its original launch.

New Gameplay Mode

Version 3.1 introduces a brand-new permanent gameplay activity:

Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel

Although HoYoverse only provided an overview during the livestream, the mode appears to feature repeatable combat encounters with unique mechanics and additional rewards, giving endgame players another activity to tackle between major updates.

Livestream Redemption Code

As with previous Special Programs, HoYoverse distributed a limited-time redemption code worth 300 Polychromes alongside additional upgrade materials.

Players were encouraged to redeem the code shortly after the livestream, as Special Program codes typically expire within a couple of day

Redemption Code: ZZZY2ANNIV

Community Reaction

The Version 3.1 livestream has received a largely positive response across the Zenless Zone Zero community.

Many players praised:

  • Remielle’s unique Lumiflux gameplay
  • Sigrid’s character design
  • The free S-Rank Agent and W-Engine selector
  • The generous anniversary rewards
  • The long-awaited Xbox launch

The announcement of a free S-Rank Agent and corresponding signature W-Engine quickly became one of the most celebrated moments of the presentation, with many longtime players calling it HoYoverse’s most generous anniversary campaign for Zenless Zone Zero so far. Discussion has also centered around which Agent players plan to select and how Remielle’s new Lumiflux Attribute will shape the evolving meta.

Final Verdict

Version 3.1 is shaping up to be one of Zenless Zone Zero’s most significant updates yet. Between the introduction of Remielle Dan and Sigrid, the continuation of the main story, the Xbox release, and an impressive lineup of anniversary rewards, HoYoverse has packed the update with content for both newcomers and longtime players.

Whether you’re returning to New Eridu for the free S-Rank rewards or preparing to pull one of the new Agents, Version 3.1 looks set to be a memorable milestone in Zenless Zone Zero’s ongoing journey.

Final Thoughts

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 celebrates two years of stylish action with one of the game’s biggest updates yet. From exciting new Agents and story content to generous anniversary rewards and the highly anticipated Xbox launch, there’s plenty for every Proxy to enjoy.
