WWE 2K25 finally launches on Nintendo Switch 2 today, marking its full return to Nintendo consoles. But while 2K promises a feature‑complete experience, fans should know that some popular tools are missing from this version of the game. Here’s what matters.

Release Dates and Platform Rollout

WWE 2K25 originally released on March 14, 2025, for PS4, PS5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. On July 23, 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 version went live, along with the Fearless DLC pack and offline/online play support.

What You Get on Switch 2

According to 2K and Visual Concepts, the Switch 2 edition includes the full set of game modes seen on other platforms. That means Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty, MyRISE, MyGM online, intergender matches, Universe promos, and even the new Island mode (an online PvPvE experience) are all present.

The roster is massive: over 300 licensed Superstars, Legends, and Hall of Famers, including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Jade Cargill, The Undertaker and many more.

Missing Feature Warns Fans

Here’s the catch: the Switch 2 version does not support Community Creations or the image uploader. That means you cannot import custom logos, textures, or original wrestler designs made by the community. 2K cites moderation concerns – especially the handling of explicit content – as the reason for not including these tools. Other platforms still support full creation tools.

Performance and Reception So Far

Reddit and fan impressions suggest the Switch 2 port runs surprisingly well, considering some users even say it’s smoother than PS5 in certain areas, including better lighting and stable 60 FPS. Review sites like Video Games Chronicle praised the gameplay improvements while noting microtransaction focus in modes like Island mode.

Game critics called WWE 2K25 a “solid annual improvement” over 2K24, despite mixed feelings about the new Island mode’s pay‑to‑win design.

DLC and Value Editions

Also launching today is the Fearless Pack DLC, which includes WWE stars like New Jack, Jordynne Grace, Penta, Bull Nakano, and celebrity guest KSI as the PRIME Bottle. This pack adds 64 new moves and animations, and it’s the third of five planned DLC packs.

Players can also opt for premium editions:

  • Deadman Edition with exclusive Undertaker content and early access
  • Bloodline Edition which includes Roman Reigns themed bonuses, additional cosmetics, MyRISE content, and early access on March 7

Final Take

WWE 2K25 on Switch 2 is both welcome and limited: it delivers nearly everything you expect from a modern wrestling sim, minus the beloved community creation tools. The performance is strong, the roster is extensive, and long‑time fans will enjoy the returning modes, but creators and logo sharers may feel a bit left out.
