Extended Look at Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater

Konami delivered a deeper gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater during its Press Start stream. We got a richer look at the remake’s updated boss fights, stealth camo mechanics, and polished animations. As part of the fresh content, two playful new modes were highlighted:

  • Snake vs Monkey mode for PS5 and Steam
  • Snake vs Bomberman mode for Xbox Series X|S

The trailer also introduced a brand new online multiplayer mode called Fox Hunt, where players use stealth and camouflage in hide and seek style gameplay. Snake Eater is set to launch on August 28, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Stellar Updates on Silent Hill f

Big news on the horror front—the developers behind Silent Hill f shared insights into its Japanese 1960s setting, cinematic horror visuals, and narrative focus on student protagonist Hinako Shimizu. They emphasized the theme of “beauty in terror,” blending J horror aesthetics with classic Silent Hill dread. The release date was officially confirmed: September 25, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows.

Surprise Tease of the Original Silent Hill Remake

Konami concluded the presentation with a major surprise—a teaser indicating that the original 1999 Silent Hill is being fully remade, in collaboration with Bloober Team. While gameplay footage and release timing are still under wraps, the teaser featured the iconic Akira Yamaoka score.

What These Reveals Mean

  • Metal Gear fans get new stealth modes, a multiplayer twist, and refined gameplay enhancements all wrapped into a faithful modern adaptation of Snake Eater.
  • Horror enthusiasts win with Silent Hill f’s cultural shift to 60s Japan and a definitive fall release date.
  • Nostalgic gamers rejoice with the revival of the original Silent Hill—a beloved classic reborn by the same team that delivered a stunning Silent Hill 2 remake.

Final Thoughts

Konami’s “Press Start” show mixed tactical stealth, psychological horror, and classic nostalgia into a compelling preview of what’s ahead. With Metal Gear Solid Delta launching this summer, Silent Hill f falling this autumn, and the original Silent Hill remake on the horizon, 2025 is shaping up to be Konami’s biggest year in ages. For fans of stealth and horror, it’s an exciting time to be paying attention.
