The long-awaited Wuthering Waves 2.4 livestream has dropped, and wow—this update is absolutely stacked. From new Resonators and a sprawling new city-state, to lore-rich story expansions and draconic Echoes, this update feels like a huge leap forward for Kuro Games’ flagship title. If you missed the stream, don’t worry—I’ve got the full breakdown right here.
New 5★ Resonators – Cartethyia and Lupa Enter the Ring
Cartethyia and Lupa were officially introduced as the next two 5★ Resonators, and they’re already stirring up excitement in the community.
- Cartethyia is an Aero-element sword wielder with a mysterious dual persona and deep narrative ties to Septimont. Her elegance hides some serious combat potential, and she’s bringing that ethereal Rinascita flair to the battlefield. She’ll headline the first banner phase.
- Lupa, on the other hand, is all about raw power. A Fusion-element Broadblade user, this gladiator queen looks like she could cleave Echoes in half with a single swing. She’s up in the second banner phase, and honestly, I can’t wait to test her out.
Welcome to Septimont – The City of Glory and Secrets
Say goodbye to the familiar streets of Jinzhou—Septimont is here, and it’s bringing a whole new vibe. This second city-state of Rinascita comes with its own culture, architecture, and secrets buried deep beneath its shining surface.
From the initial footage, this region seems to lean into a more regal, perhaps even ecclesiastical aesthetic. Exploration fans, get ready: hidden treasures, environmental puzzles, and some intense traversal are likely on the way.
Main Story Expands – Chapter II Reaches Its Climax
Two new major story acts were revealed, both promising serious lore bombs:
- Act V – Shadow of Glory
- Act VI – Flames of Heart
Thematically, these sound heavy, and given how tightly woven Wuthering Waves’ narrative has become, we’re probably looking at some major twists. Septimont may look pristine on the surface, but based on those act names… something ugly might be hiding underneath.
Echo Evolution – 8 New Echoes + Sonata Effects
We’re getting eight new Echoes, including three draconic beasts:
- Fusion Drake
- Spectro Drake
- Havoc Drake
- Devotee’s Flash
- Pilgrim’s Shell
- Kerasaur
- Nightmare: Kelpie
- Lioness of Glory
New Sonata Effects were also confirmed:
- Windward Pilgrimage (likely synergizing with Aero builds)
- Flaming Clawprint (a safe bet for Fusion mains)
Echo hunters, you’re gonna be busy this patch.
Events, Rewards, and Limited-Time Fun
There’s plenty of content to keep us grinding (happily):
- Gifts of Grand Opening: 10 free Radiant Tides just for logging in.
- All Out! Towards the Peaks of Prestige: A strategy-heavy Echo card game-style event that could add a whole new gameplay layer.
- Virtual Crisis: Face off against new dual bosses, including Fallacy and Infernal Biker, in a high-difficulty combat challenge.
These events are looking like solid additions to the rotation, and most come with Radiant Tide, upgrade mats, and Shell Credit as rewards.
Livestream Redeem Codes
Three redeem codes were shared during the livestream, each providing valuable in-game items:
- SHADOWOFGLORY: 100 Astrite, 4 Premium Resonance Potions, 5 Advanced Energy Cores
- FLAMESOFHEART: 100 Astrite, 2 Forgery Premium Supply, 40,000 Shell Credit
- AGONISON: 100 Astrite, 1 Weekly Challenge Supply Pack, 2 Advanced Sealed Tubes
These codes expired on June 1, 2025, at 8:59 am PT.
Release Date – Mark Your Calendars
Wuthering Waves Version 2.4: “Lightly We Toss the Crown” officially drops on June 12, 2025. That’s less than two weeks away.
Whether you’re here for the new Resonators, exploring Septimont, or just farming Echoes like your sanity depends on it (and let’s be honest—it does), this update looks massive in the best way.
