HoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero is set to launch its highly anticipated Version 2.0 update, “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn,” on June 6, 2025. This update marks the beginning of Season 2 and introduces a wealth of new content, including fresh characters, regions, gameplay mechanics, and generous rewards for players.

New Agents and Banners

Version 2.0 introduces three new agents:

• Yi Xuan: An S-Rank Ether Rupture specialist known for her high burst damage capabilities.
• Ju Fufu: An S-Rank Fire Stun agent who excels in crowd control and area-of-effect attacks.
• Pan Yinhu: An A-Rank Physical Defense agent designed to absorb damage and protect teammates.

These characters bring unique abilities and playstyles, offering new strategies for team compositions and combat scenarios.

Explore the Waifei Peninsula

A significant addition in this update is the new region, the Waifei Peninsula. This area offers a fresh chapter in the main storyline, introducing new comrades and challenges. Exploration in the Waifei Peninsula includes puzzles and combat events that reward players with valuable items like Polychromes.

Enhanced Gameplay Mechanics

Version 2.0 brings several gameplay enhancements:

• Perception Techniques: New abilities that allow Proxies to remove obstacles and track down objects and clues during Hollow Zero Exploration.
• Miasma Corruption: A new environmental hazard in the Hollow Map that accumulates over time, dealing damage to the entire party if not managed properly.
• Task Force Investigation in Lost Void: A new game mode offering exclusive gear and challenges.
• New Boss in Deadly Assault: A formidable new enemy appears in the Deadly Assault mode, providing a fresh challenge for seasoned players.

Anniversary Rewards and Events

To celebrate the game’s first anniversary, HoYoverse is offering generous rewards:

• Free S-Rank Agent and W-Engine: Players can obtain a free S-Rank agent and a powerful W-Engine to enhance their teams.
• Livestream Code: Use the code ZZZANNIVERSARY to receive 300 Polychrome, 2 Senior Investigator Logs, 3 W-Engine Energy Modules, and 30,000 Dennies. Note that this code expires on May 25, 2025, at 11:59 (UTC+8).

Xbox Release Announcement

In addition to the 2.0 update, HoYoverse announced that Zenless Zone Zero will be launching on Xbox Series X|S on June 6, 2025. The Xbox version will feature enhancements like DirectX RayTracing, HDR support, native 4K resolution, and 60FPS gameplay. Cross-progression and flexible server selection will also be supported, allowing players to link accounts across platforms.
