With Jane Doe finally back with her rerun, here is a breakdown of how to optimize her in the game. If you’ve pulled her (or planning to), she’s seriously one of the most fun characters to play — fast, aggressive, and so satisfying when you chain her combos together. Let’s jump right in!

Best W-Engines for Jane Doe

If you want Jane to absolutely shred, her best-in-slot W-Engine is definitely Sharpened Stinger. It boosts her Physical DMG and gives her a stacking buff every time she dash attacks — and if you max it out, it even boosts her Anomaly buildup by 40%. It’s crazy good for her whole playstyle.

If you don’t have Sharpened Stinger, don’t worry — she has some other really strong options too:

  • Fusion Compiler — good overall ATK boost and stacks Anomaly Proficiency every time you use Specials.
  • Electro-Lip Gloss — if you like stacking anomalies, this one bumps up her ATK and makes her hit harder against debuffed enemies.
  • Rainforest Gourmet — a really solid budget option you can grab easily from the shop. Scales off energy usage, and Jane burns through energy fast anyway.

If you’re free-to-play, Rainforest Gourmet or Magnetic Storm are both pretty reliable until you get something stronger.

Best Drive Discs for Jane Doe

For Drive Discs, the classic setup for Jane is:

  • 4-piece Fanged Metal (boosts her Physical Assault damage)
  • 2-piece Freedom Blues (gives extra Anomaly Proficiency)

Alternatively, if you want to lean a little harder into her anomaly buildup, you can swap and do 4-piece Freedom Blues with 2-piece Fanged Metal.

Stat priorities you want to aim for:

  • Main stats: Anomaly Mastery, ATK%, Physical DMG bonus
  • Substats: Anomaly Proficiency, ATK%, PEN Ratio

Pretty much anything that makes her hit harder or trigger Assaults faster will make her insane.

Jane’s Role + Team Comps

Jane is a main DPS through and through. She’s super aggressive, all about racking up Flinch triggers and slamming into enemies with big crits.

She shines in teams that help her trigger anomalies or capitalize on Assaults. Some good team ideas:

  • Jane + Seth + Nekomata — insane Assault spam comp. Seth helps trigger anomalies, and Nekomata blows up stunned enemies.
  • Jane + Grace + Rina — a really fun combo if you want to stack Shock/Disorder damage on top of Jane’s output.
  • Jane + Caesar + Seth — if you want a beefier survival team where Jane can go wild behind a shield.

For Bangboos, you can’t go wrong with Magnetiboo (buffs), Bangvolver (extra damage), or Luckyboo (crit buffs).

Playstyle Tips

Here’s how I like to play her for max damage:

  • Always keep dashing and attacking to stack Predatory Instinct from Sharpened Stinger (if you’re using it).
  • Build up her Passion Stream quickly — when she enters Passion State, her Anomaly buildup skyrockets.
  • Land your Core Skill properly — hit enemies to apply Gnawed, then follow up with another Assault to trigger crits.
  • Spam Specials and her Ultimate — Jane’s energy usage actually makes her stronger if you’re using energy-scaling W-Engines and Drive Discs.
  • Stay mobile! Jane is super quick — don’t just stand there face-tanking hits.

Once you get the rhythm down (dash → combo → Passion → Assaults → Ult), she just melts enemies, it’s so satisfying.
