The eagerly anticipated Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 update is set to launch on February 25, 2025, for North American servers, and February 26, 2025, for European and Asian servers. This update brings a wealth of new content, including the continuation of the Amphoreus storyline, the introduction of new characters, engaging events, and various quality-of-life improvements.

Continuation of the Amphoreus Storyline

In this update, players will embark on the “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne” Trailblaze Mission, delving deeper into the mysteries of Amphoreus. This mission takes the Trailblazers to new areas such as the Murmuring Woods’ Grove of Epiphany and the Sanctum of Prophecy in Janusopolis, unveiling secrets about humanity’s first demigod.

New Characters and Banners

Version 3.1 introduces two new 5-star characters:

• Tribbie: A Quantum element character following the Path of Harmony. Tribbie excels in supporting allies by enhancing their resistance penetration and dealing additional Quantum damage through follow-up attacks.
• Mydei: An Imaginary element character on the Path of Destruction. Mydei is a formidable damage dealer who balances high offensive capabilities with self-sustainability, making him a versatile addition to any team.

The character banners are scheduled as follows:

• Phase 1 (February 25 to March 19, 2025): Features Tribbie and a rerun of Yunli.
• Phase 2 (March 19 to April 8, 2025): Features Mydei and a rerun of Huohuo.

New Events and Activities

Players can look forward to several exciting events in Version 3.1:

• The Awooo Firm (February 28 to April 7, 2025): Take on the role of a chimera caretaker, managing tasks to earn rewards.
• Holy City Appraisals (March 19 to April 7, 2025): Assist an antique shop owner by authenticating items as their apprentice.
• Planar Fissure (March 12 to March 19, 2025): Earn double ornament drops when challenging Worlds in the Simulated Universe.
• Realm of the Strange (March 28 to April 4, 2025): Receive double relic drops when challenging Caverns of Corrosion.
• Gift of Odyssey 3.1 (February 25 to April 8, 2025): Log in for seven days to obtain 10 Star Rail Special Passes.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

The update also brings several enhancements to improve the gaming experience:

• Material Synthesis: Players can now directly synthesize 2-star materials into 4-star materials, streamlining the crafting process.
• Build Guide Update: Newly showcased characters in Special Preview Programs can be set as build targets immediately after the program ends, allowing for efficient resource planning.
• New Item – Tears of Souls: This item can substitute for enemy materials when players lack the necessary resources for character ascension or trace leveling.
