  • Monster Hunter Wilds: Capcom’s latest installment in the Monster Hunter series is set to launch on February 28. The game promises expansive new environments and formidable creatures, with a post-launch Title Update introducing the majestic Mizutsune this spring.
  • Shinobi: Art of Vengeance: Scheduled for release on August 28, this title immerses players in a rich narrative centered around a skilled shinobi navigating a world filled with intrigue and danger.
  • Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: Sega unveiled this new racing adventure, featuring interdimensional circuits and a diverse roster of characters. A network test is planned for February 21, allowing players to experience the high-speed action firsthand.
  • Digimon Story Time Stranger: Bandai Namco introduced this JRPG, where players journey between the human world and the Digital World, encountering fan-favorite Digimon like Agumon and Omegamon. The game is slated for a 2025 release.
  • Borderlands 4: Gearbox announced the next chapter in the Borderlands saga, set to release on September 22. Fans can anticipate the series’ signature blend of humor, expansive weaponry, and cooperative gameplay.

Remakes and Revivals

  • Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater: Konami revealed a remake of the classic title, offering enhanced graphics and gameplay. The game is set to launch on August 28 and will include the return of the beloved Snake vs Monkey minigame mode.
  • Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny: Capcom showcased a remake of this action-adventure classic, bringing updated visuals and mechanics to a new generation of players. The game is currently in development, with more details to come.

Additional Highlights

  • Directive 8020: Supermassive Games presented a new story trailer for this sci-fi horror title, announcing an October 2 release date. Players will navigate the treacherous corridors of the spaceship Cassiopeia, making life-or-death decisions to survive.
  • Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic: Steel Wool Games is bringing another installment to the horror franchise, launching on PS5 and PS VR2 on June 13. The gameplay reveal teased new objectives and terrors awaiting players.
  • Saros: Housemarque announced this roguelike third-person shooter, set for a 2026 release. The game follows protagonist Arjun Devraj in a world that reconfigures after each death, offering deep gameplay mechanics and featuring actor Rahul Kohli in the lead role.

In addition to these announcements, Sony revealed the upcoming additions to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers for February 2025. Subscribers can look forward to titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and TopSpin 2K25 for both PS4 and PS5, as well as Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 1 exclusively for PS5. Premium members will also gain access to classics like Patapon 3 and Dropship: United Peace Force.
