New Archon Quest: Chapter V

Continuing the Natlan storyline, the Archon Quest in Version 5.1 picks up where the previous patch left off, bringing players deeper into the mysteries of the Pyro region. This time, players will encounter new faces, like Citlali and Ororen, members of the enigmatic Masters of the Night-Wind tribe, who offer a wealth of knowledge about the Wayob. The stakes are raised further by the reappearance of the Abyss, posing an even greater threat as the Traveler uncovers more about their Ancient Name and the deeper lore of Natlan. As part of this questline, you’ll also gain insights into the culture and conflicts brewing in this fiery land.

New Character: Xilonen

One of the most anticipated aspects of the update is the arrival of Xilonen, a new 5-star Geo sword user from Natlan. Xilonen is not just a capable fighter but also a renowned blacksmith who has earned her reputation for crafting legendary weapons. In combat, Xilonen’s unique mechanic revolves around Samplers, elemental gems that she can use to reduce enemy resistance or heal her allies, depending on the party setup. Her Elemental Skill allows these Samplers to convert to other elements (like Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro) if she’s teamed up with characters of those elements, making her an incredibly versatile support. Her Elemental Burst delivers AoE Geo damage and heals allies when certain elemental conditions are met.

Xilonen’s skillset makes her a tactical addition to any party, capable of enhancing the team’s survivability while also providing offensive support. Plus, her exploration talent boosts resource recovery, which will be especially useful for Travelers adventuring in new areas of Natlan.

Character Banners: Phases 1 & 2

The banners in Version 5.1 are split into two phases, giving players a chance to wish for both new and returning characters:

• Phase 1: Xilonen debuts alongside a rerun of Chiori, a fellow 5-star Geo sword user. Players looking to boost their Geo-heavy teams will have plenty to be excited about during this phase​.
• Phase 2 will feature reruns of two beloved characters: Nahida (Dendro Archon) and Hu Tao (Pyro). Nahida’s wisdom and support abilities, combined with Hu Tao’s explosive DPS potential, make this phase a great opportunity for both new and veteran players to round out their team compositions​.

New Weapons and Events

A new 5-star sword called Peak Patrol Song will be available in the first half of the update, which is perfectly suited to Xilonen’s playstyle. This sword enhances her abilities in both damage dealing and support, making it her best-in-slot weapon​.

As for events, the Sabzeruz Festival returns to Sumeru, offering mini-games and challenges that allow players to participate in the joyous birthday celebration for Lesser Lord Kusanali. You’ll reunite with characters like Dehya, Tighnari, and Collei as you prepare a grand parade in Nahida’s honor. Players can also earn Festive Fervor by taking part in activities such as the “Rocking Carriage” mini-game, and even recruit Candace for free if they collect enough rewards.
